A monthly subscription can be easier to compare with travel when you know which trips it could replace. The useful starting point is your own calendar: how often does the team travel mainly to sit together, review material and discuss a decision?
How is the OowOah subscription calculated?
The Meeting Rooms page lists £12.99 per headset space per month. Spaces relate to simultaneous VR use rather than the total number of named staff. Five spaces therefore cost £64.95 monthly. Required headsets are purchased separately. Check the current terms before committing.
What does an illustrative comparison look like?
Suppose one otherwise necessary monthly meeting involves £200 in travel expenses. If five headset spaces can replace that trip, £200 less £64.95 leaves £135.05 before hardware, onboarding and other costs. This is a worked assumption, not a guaranteed saving or an estimate of your business.
What else belongs in the calculation?
Include headsets, support, preparation and the time needed to learn the system. Record travel time separately from cash expenses: time released may be useful without becoming a direct cash saving. Avoid counting the same benefit twice.
Which journeys should remain?
Some meetings include physical inspection, hands-on work or relationship-building that you may want to keep in person. Choose suitable sessions and test whether the remote outcome meets your needs. The objective is to reduce avoidable journeys while preserving the work that makes a meeting worthwhile.
