OowOah Live – Recording & Streaming Policy

This Recording & Streaming Policy explains how live and recorded content is managed on OowOah Live.
OowOah Ltd provides the technology platform that enables Event Organisers to host live and recorded virtual reality events. As OowOah Live is an immersive VR platform, attendees interact within a shared virtual environment and may appear in recordings made during an event.
By accessing or participating in an event through OowOah Live, you agree to this Policy.
Live Streaming
OowOah Live enables Event Organisers to broadcast live virtual reality events to attendees.
OowOah Ltd provides the technology required to deliver these broadcasts but is not responsible for the content, conduct or management of any event.
Event Recordings
Event Organisers may choose to record their events.
- Speakers and presenters.
- Audience participation.
- User avatars.
- Display names.
- Voice communications.
- Shared presentations and media.
- Questions and discussions.
- Any interaction that takes place during the event.
As OowOah Live is an immersive shared VR experience, attendees should assume that their participation may form part of any recording where recording has been enabled.
Attendee Acknowledgement
- Your avatar may appear in the recording.
- Your display name may appear in the recording.
- Your voice may be recorded if you choose to speak.
- Your interactions during the event may be included in the recording.
- The recording may be made available to authorised users as determined by the Event Organiser.
If you do not wish to appear in a recording, you should not join events that are identified as being recorded.
Replay Content
- Ticket holders.
- Registered attendees.
- Users who purchase replay access.
- Other authorised viewers determined by the Event Organiser.
Replay availability, pricing and access periods are determined by the Event Organiser.
Ownership of Recordings
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, recordings remain the property of the Event Organiser.
OowOah Ltd receives only the rights necessary to host, process, stream and make recordings available through the platform in accordance with the Event Organiser’s instructions.
Recording by Attendees
Attendees must not record, copy, stream, photograph, reproduce or distribute any part of an event without the prior written permission of the Event Organiser.
- Screen recording.
- Screen captures.
- Audio recording.
- Live rebroadcasting.
- Sharing recordings on social media or third-party platforms.
Unauthorised recording may result in suspension or termination of your OowOah account and may lead to legal action.
Privacy During Events
Users should avoid sharing confidential, personal or commercially sensitive information during recorded events unless they are comfortable with that information forming part of the recording.
Event Organisers are responsible for informing attendees if an event will be recorded before the event begins.
OowOah’s Role
OowOah Ltd provides the technology platform used to stream and record events.
OowOah Ltd does not control the content of recordings, determine replay availability or decide how Event Organisers use their recordings.
Questions regarding recordings, replay access or removal requests should be directed to the relevant Event Organiser.
Removal of Recordings
Any request to remove or restrict access to a recording should be made directly to the Event Organiser.
OowOah Ltd may remove recordings where required by law, by court order, or where content breaches our Terms & Conditions, Acceptable Use Policy or applicable legislation.
Limitation of Liability
OowOah Ltd accepts no responsibility for the content of recordings created by Event Organisers or for any claims arising from the recording or distribution of an event.
Event Organisers are solely responsible for ensuring they have obtained any permissions, consents and legal rights required to record and distribute their events.
Changes to this Policy
OowOah Ltd may update this Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be available on the OowOah website. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any revised version.
