1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) sets out the standards of behaviour expected from all users of the OowOah Live platform, including Event Organisers, speakers, attendees and guests.
By accessing or using OowOah Live, you agree to comply with this Policy in addition to our Terms & Conditions and all applicable laws.
OowOah Ltd reserves the right to investigate any breach of this Policy and to suspend or terminate access to the platform where appropriate.
2. Compliance with Laws
Users must use OowOah Live lawfully and must not use the platform for any activity that breaches applicable laws or regulations.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their events and content comply with the laws of the countries in which they operate.
3. Prohibited Content
You must not upload, stream, distribute or share content that:
- Is unlawful or promotes illegal activity.
- Contains defamatory, abusive or threatening material.
- Promotes violence, terrorism or criminal activity.
- Contains hate speech or encourages discrimination.
- Contains sexually explicit or pornographic material.
- Exploits or endangers children.
- Promotes self-harm or suicide.
- Contains malware, viruses or malicious code.
- Is misleading, fraudulent or deceptive.
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Violates any person’s privacy or confidentiality.
4. Behaviour Standards
When using OowOah Live you must:
- Treat all users with respect.
- Behave professionally during live events and meetings.
- Follow any reasonable instructions given by Event Organisers.
- Respect other attendees.
- Use appropriate language.
- Respect the privacy of other participants.
You must not:
- Harass, bully or intimidate others.
- Disrupt events intentionally.
- Impersonate another individual or organisation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another account.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the platform.
5. Event Organiser Responsibilities
- Ensuring they have the legal right to host their event.
- Ensuring all content used within their event is properly licensed.
- Complying with copyright, privacy and consumer protection laws.
- Managing attendee conduct during their events.
- Ensuring event descriptions are accurate and not misleading.
6. Intellectual Property
Users must only upload or stream content they own or have permission to use.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Presentations
- Videos
- Images
- Music
- Logos
- Branding
- Documents
- Software
Users are solely responsible for obtaining any licences required for their content.
7. Recordings
Users must not record, reproduce or distribute any event unless:
- The Event Organiser has expressly authorised recording; or
- Recording is otherwise permitted by law.
Any recordings made without permission may result in immediate suspension from the platform.
8. Platform Security
- Attempt to hack or compromise the platform.
- Circumvent security measures.
- Use automated software to access the platform without permission.
- Upload harmful software or malicious code.
- Attempt to disrupt the availability or performance of OowOah Live.
9. Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Create fake accounts.
- Use false identities.
- Sell fraudulent tickets.
- Misrepresent themselves or their events.
- Attempt payment fraud or chargeback fraud.
- Mislead attendees about an event.
10. Enforcement
If OowOah Ltd believes this Policy has been breached, we may, without prior notice:
- Remove content.
- Suspend or terminate accounts.
- Cancel or remove events.
- Restrict access to the platform.
- Report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.
- Take legal action where appropriate.
OowOah Ltd is under no obligation to provide prior warning before taking enforcement action where it considers this necessary to protect the platform or its users.
11. Reporting Violations
If you believe this Policy has been breached, please report the matter to OowOah Ltd as soon as possible, providing any relevant information to assist with our investigation.
12. Changes to this Policy
OowOah Ltd may amend this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on the OowOah website. Continued use of the platform after changes have been published constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
